Usagi’s Cabbage Rebirth
One day, Chiikawa and Hachiware stumbled upon a fresh, green cabbage. “It’s cabbage,” Chiikawa observed. They imagined delicious dishes—boiled cabbage and stuffed cabbage rolls—but before they could think further, Hachiware suddenly spoke up.
“I heard someone was going to be reborn,” they said casually.
“Eh?” Chiikawa blinked in confusion.
Before they could process the statement, the cabbage in front of them began to move. The leaves rustled and unfurled, revealing something inside. Chiikawa and Hachiware gasped in shock as a familiar face emerged from the greenery.
“EHHHH!?” they cried.
There, nestled cozily in the cabbage, was Usagi, looking completely at peace—as if they had just been born from the vegetable itself. The scene immediately transformed into a glorious “Happy Birthday” moment, with golden sparkles radiating around Usagi.
“That was… fast independence,” Chiikawa muttered in disbelief.
“Usagi already has teeth growing,” Hachiware added, noticing the little rabbit’s wide smile.
Without missing a beat, Usagi began to crawl—no, slide—out of the cabbage, zipping across the ground with unstoppable energy. Chiikawa and Hachiware could only watch as their freshly “reborn” friend scurried away into the distance, just as wild as ever.
