On a calm afternoon, Labor Armor Man (Labor Armor-san), a grey armored figure, wandered the field holding a bright little mikan (orange) in his hand. A smile stretched across his helmet as he muttered cheerfully to himself:
“Mikan, mikan!”
He began tossing the mikan up into the air with excitement.
Poon! it went as it flew upward, and Pashi! as he caught it perfectly. The rhythm of the game became almost musical as he walked forward, juggling the orange in the air.
Confident and proud, Labor Armor Man continued his little game, chuckling beneath his helmet.
Poon! Pashi! Over and over, the mikan danced through his fingers.
But then—
A slip! With one over-enthusiastic toss, the mikan soared out of control!
Poon!!
The orange flew in a perfect arc… straight toward a small yellow bunny named Usagi, who was standing nearby, unaware of the incoming fruit.
The mikan landed squarely on top of Usagi’s head with a soft, gentle Sut.
Usagi didn’t move. He blinked, his big round eyes staring forward as if this sort of thing happened every day. The mikan balanced perfectly between his soft ears, as though it belonged there.
Labor Armor Man froze in place, eyes wide under his helmet.
“Ah—!!”
Panic overtook him. Waving his arms in a flustered frenzy, he sprinted toward the little bunny.
“Abunai! Abunai!!” (Dangerous! Dangerous!)
“G-Gomen!! Daijoubu!?” (S-Sorry! Are you okay!?)
But Usagi wasn’t bothered at all. Instead, he looked up at Labor Armor Man with his usual blank but sweet expression and let out a soft, content sound:
“Fuwa~”
The scene fell silent. Relief swept over Labor Armor Man as he sighed, trying to recover from the embarrassment. Slowly, he held the mikan out toward Usagi in an apologetic gesture.
“Yokattara… Tabete?” (If you’d like… please eat it.)
For a moment, Usagi stared at him. Then—Sut!—the bunny tossed the mikan back with surprising speed and accuracy.
Gugu!
The mikan landed perfectly on top of Labor Armor Man‘s helmet. The orange sat there like a crown, snug and steady.
Silence returned.
Labor Armor Man, now with a fruit balanced on his head, stood frozen, beads of sweat forming beneath his helmet.
Usagi, on the other hand, beamed proudly. His little bunny face was full of satisfaction, ears twitching with triumph as if to say, “See? Now we’re even.”
And so, a little mikan mishap turned into a playful exchange—one that left Labor Armor Man feeling sheepish and a clever little bunny named Usagi victorious.
